Who we are

Steel fabrication, the way it should be done

Top Notch Fabrication LLC is a steel and metal fabrication and welding shop in Lewiston, Maine, serving general contractors, project managers, plant owners, and engineers across central Maine. We handle structural steel, custom fabrication, and welded assemblies — from shop drawings to a finished, ready-to-install product.

Founded in year founded, the shop grew out of founding story — how the business started, who started it, and what it set out to do differently. Since then, our reputation has been built one job at a time: clean fit-up, sound welds, and parts that show up on site ready to set.

We're not the biggest shop in the state, and we don't try to be. We're the shop that picks up the phone, gives you a straight answer on price and timeline, and delivers steel you can build on.

How we work

What awarding us the job actually gets you

Decisions on fabrication work come down to risk: will it be built right, will it be on time, and will the shop stand behind it. Here's how we answer all three.

  • Built to spec, every time We fabricate to your drawings and tolerances. Fit-up is checked before it welds, and welds are inspected before it ships — no surprises at the job site.
  • Schedules we actually hold We quote a realistic lead time and communicate if anything moves. Your schedule depends on our steel showing up when we said it would.
  • One shop, start to finish Cutting, forming, welding, and finishing under one roof means tighter quality control and fewer hand-offs between you and a finished part.
  • We stand behind our welds If something isn't right, we make it right. Our name goes on every job, and we treat your reputation like it's ours too.
